Dear Friends and Supporters,
Our capital campaign has been a success so far! As of today, we have raised $172,000.00 towards the purchase of a new space that would hold the majority of our programs, classes, and events. We are truly thankful to everyone who has donated. Your belief in our mission and support for our work is greatly appreciated.
The Arc Northwest Mississippi is thrilled to announce that we have found a new building and we are moving forward with plans to purchase it as our new office and program center. We are so excited!!!
As our members and supporters know, we have had a long and winding road to get to this moment which has led us past purchasing a vacant lot on Getwell Road and a pre-existing building on Pleasant Hill Road, but these spaces were not meant to be for our nonprofit. We are so pleased that we waiting patiently for the perfect place, and we have found it!
Our new office will be located at 6545 Elmore Road. The space is currently being used by North Mississippi Pest Control. We are completing the final inspections to make sure that the space is safe and ready to begin a new chapter bringing our mission to the community. We are hoping to close at the end of April and move in immediately. All of our meetings, classes, programs, and events will meet in the new building, except Camp BOLD, which will remain at Longview Heights Baptist Church.
With this new news, we are restarting our Capital Campaign to help with the cost of purchasing the building, furniture and equipment, and supplies for our classes, events, and programs. We will be continuing with plans to create our HUGE donor tree in the entry way of the building. All LEAF purchases from our first campaign will be honored, but we definitely need more supporters. We want a tree full of donor leaves and a building full of furniture, technology, and supplies that will make our programs and events even more exciting for the people that we serve.
